Aristocrat Leisure Limited, a leading gaming company and slots supplier, has announced the appointment of Jennifer Aument as a Non-Executive Director. The nomination awaits necessary regulatory pre-approvals before ratification.
Director for Australia-Based Aristocrat
Last update: May, 2024
Ms Aument joins the company’s Board of Directors with over two and a half decades of experience developing, delivering and managing critical infrastructure assets. She has also held executive positions in prominent publicly traded infrastructure corporations in the US and Australia.
The most recent position held by Ms Aument was Global Transportation Chief Executive at AECOM, a leading infrastructure consulting company worldwide. She is credited for effectively overseeing a group of over 14,000 employees.
Before that appointment, Ms Aument worked for nearly ten years as the president and CEO of Transurban’s North American division. She also had executive positions in public affairs and government relations with companies like Bechtel Infrastructure.
It’s to be remembered that Ms Aument, who lives in Virginia, US, has initially sat on Virginia Port Authority’s Board of Commissioners. In addition, she currently serves as a member of several advisory boards for institutions, including the Eno Center for Transportation and Cornell University.
Commenting on Aument’s nomination, Aristocrat’s Chairman, Mr Neil Chatfield, remarked, “I am delighted that Jennifer has agreed to join the Aristocrat board. Jennifer has a particular understanding of US and Australian environments, the complexities of supply chains and the delivery of major projects, and is a thought leader in the use of consumer digital technology.
“Jennifer also brings strong government relations and public affairs capabilities. Jennifer is an impressive, people-oriented business leader, with a track record of active community engagement. I am pleased to welcome Jennifer to Aristocrat and look forward to her contribution to our ongoing success,” Chatfield continued.
Jennifer Aument will get a Director (Elect) title, pending regulatory pre-approval. After receiving regulatory pre-approval, the Board will confirm Ms. Aument’s nomination as a Director of the Company.
Ms Aument’s appointment coincides with a period when Aristocrat has been reshaping its top-brass leadership in a bid to control the global gaming space. The company appointed Bill G. Lance Jnr as a Non-Executive Director in October last year. Mr Lance possesses solid leadership skills after serving as the Secretary of Commerce at the Chickasaw Nation, managing more than 7,000 employees.
Then, in November last year, the company appointed Sally Denby as the Chief Financial Officer. Denby was promoted from within the ranks, previously serving as the Deputy Chief Financial Officer. And without forgetting the company’s recent partnership deals with top US gambling operators like FanDuel, BetMGM, and Caesars Entertainment.
