Genius Sports strikes deal with A-League

Genius sports strikes a deal with the A-League and the other professional football leagues in Australia for the exclusive rights to distribute official betting data from football matches in the A-League. This data will be used by online casinos to get information about their bets and information for the possibility of live betting.

Online sports betting and betting at the A-League with clubs like Melbourne City, Perth Glory and WS Wanderers is getting more and more advanced. Betting is getting much more advanced than which club is winning which match. Nowadays gamblers can bet on the amount of corners, the amount of yellow cards and in which minute the first goal is being scored. All this data needs to be collected and distributed to the network of online casinos that are offering betting on the A-league to their customers. Genius Sports is one of those companies collecting such data, now they have agreed a partnership with the A-league to collect such data and distribute it to their partners casinos around the world.

A part of this deal is that A-League clubs will have to deploy the Genius Sport´s optical tracking devices in their stadiums. Which are needed to collect data about the football matches that are being played in the AFL.

The director of  Strategy for the APL commented on the newly closed deal with Genius Sports: “Genius are global leaders in data and integrity services and we are delighted to be building this partnership with them.
