When you’re playing online bingo for real money, the rules are fairly simple. If you’ve ever played bingo games, or even the kids’ game Lotto, you probably already understand the basics.
Every player gets a game card with 25 spaces (five blocks high and five blocks wide). You get a digital version of a game card when you play bingo online.
The center block of each card is a free space, which you don’t need to fill in, and the aim of the game is to fill a full line of spaces (5 blocks). Your line of filled spaces may be either vertical, horizontal, or diagonal. When you fill those spaces, you get to call “bingo”. An online bingo game generally has a button you can press when you hit bingo.
Pro tip: Different games and online bingo sites may have different acceptable bingo patterns. Some only accept lines, while others accept certain other patterns as well. Always check the accepted bingo patterns for the specific game you’re playing.
Each row on the card has a number, and each column has a letter. The columns spell out bingo, and the spaces each have a number. The dealer, or software, depending on the types of online bingo games you’re playing, will call out a number and letter. If you have that number on your bingo card, in the column that matches the letter, you can place a playing piece in that space.
You can keep playing until someone gets bingo or the dealer calls an end to the round.
