Online gambling fans in Ontario, Canada, are set to access their favourite casino games on all Rootz brands following the approval by the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario. Players in the Canadian province can now play casino games on Rootz brands, including Wildz, Caxino, and Wheelz. Rootz’s famous streaming brand, Spinz, will also go live in Ontario.

The company’s four brands are run by a state-of-the-art proprietary platform, giving players a convenient single-account structure. This means players in Ontario will access all the services on the brands through a single account and virtual wallet. Content available in English will also be available in French.

This new milestone comes just a few months after the company secured a German licence in December 2022. Gaining entry into the regulated Ontario and German markets will further strengthen Rootz’s global reputation as a top online casino operator.

Rootz brands are popular for giving players in-class gaming opportunities. Players can explore top online slots, table games, and live casino actions streamed in real-time from top-quality studios. The casinos also offer irresistible bonuses to new and loyal players. This should be great news for Ontarians, as the local regulations require rewards to be given in real money.

Official Statement from Rootz

According to Rootz’s CEO, Lesse Rantala, the new licence aligns with the company’s dynamic strategy to increase its global market footprint and give players innovative gaming solutions worldwide. The official said that Ontario is a critical market for Rootz, and the company welcomes the latest opportunity provided by the regulator to cooperate with iGO.

“Full credit goes to our first-rate teams for the Ontario licensing achievement: as an operator, we prioritize the need for safe, secure and fair play; the strict compliance requirements within regulated markets such as Ontario and Germany will provide peace of mind to our customers that they are enjoying play experiences with a licensed provider,” the CEO continued.

But Rootz isn’t the only new gaming company to be licensed by AGCO to launch in the Canadian province. In January 2023, Markor Technology, a US casino software aggregation platform, was approved to launch by the regulator. Ontarians will now play table games, slots, and live dealer games from the software provider.

In the same month, Blueprint Gaming also strengthened its profile in the Canadian province after signing an agreement with NorthStar Gaming. The company owns and operates the popular NorthStar Bets. Following the deal, Ontarians will access Blueprint’s top titles, including Fishing Frenzy, The Goonies, The Big Catch, and Megaways titles like Wolf Legend and Eye of Horus.
