The leading game development company, Octoplay, has released a follow-up to its Eternal Clash and Eternal Clash Reloaded games. This Online Casino game takes you to a bleak, post-apocalyptic landscape where allies and enemies fight for survival. The game offers an immersive experience with unique mechanics like Showdown Spins and Cash Wilds.

Octoplay burst on the casino scene in October 2022 and has rapidly become a significant developer pushing game development boundaries. The company is based in Malta and holds licences from the Malta Gaming Authority (MGA), the Romanian National Office, the United Kingdom Gambling Commission (UKGC), and Spelinspektionen (the Swedish Gambling Authority).

The company comprises top-tier gaming specialists led by the former Red Tiger and Evolution executive Carl Ejlertsson. This innovative company focuses on player engagement and fun. Its games are developed on its proprietary RGS platform, which offers a powerful game engine, a cutting-edge math simulator, and limitless currency support.

Adrenaline-pumping slot

Dystopia: Rebel Road invites you to join the rebels in this adrenaline-pumping slot. The backdrop is a ruined city overtaken by the desert. Sand dunes pile up against the buildings, and there are no signs of life. The characters in this slot are street fighters with specially adapted equipment and weapons to help them survive in this unforgiving environment.

The game starts on a six-reel, four-row grid with 25 win lines. However, during the Showdown Spins, it changes to a six-reel, two-row grid. The game pays out for matches on adjacent reels, from left to right, starting on the leftmost reel. The maximum win is 5,000x.

The slot has built on many of the features found in Eternal Clash but has given them a dystopic twist. Instead of the Sword Wild that you see in Eternal Clash, there is a Cash Wild. This wild comes in three sizes, and they substitute for all symbols except the bonus symbol. The two larger wilds award cash prizes if they become part of a winning line.

The theme of fighting for survival runs right through this game. When the Showdown Spins are triggered by landing three or more bonus symbols, Ally and Enemy characters come into play. There are five Allies and five enemies. As the Showdown Spins progresses, the allies and enemies fight it out on the reels.

During this feature, the reels change to the six-reel, two-row grid. The only symbols that can land are the allies, enemies, boosters, or empty tiles.

The feature begins with a set amount of health points awarded to each character, but these points can be quickly lost in a battle. For example, Ally One has 10 Attack Points and 10 Health Points. Enemy Two has 20 Attack Points, 20 Health Points, 5x Cash Prize, and 250x maximum cash prize.

Allies and Enemies will battle each other if they are locked in the slot. The Ally characters take turns attacking the Enemy characters, and the Ally character closest to the enemy always starts first.

When two characters fight, they can each lose Health Points. When the points reach zero, that character is destroyed. Each enemy character carries a cash prize that is awarded when they are destroyed.

Enemy characters will attack the Health bar if no more ally characters are left. When the player’s health bar reaches zero, the round is over. As you can see, there are plenty of potential wins in this round, and it’s a fight to the death for many of the characters.

Boosters can also be applied to a character. These Boosters can add Attack or Health Points, a Cash Crate or a Double Crate. The crates are the final feature in this game and are part of the Showdown spins.

Cash Crates are multipliers with values of 2x, 5x, 10x, 20x, 50x, your stake. The cash prize is collected if a Cash Crate lands under an Ally. However, if it lands under an Enemy, the cash prize is added to the cash prize of the Enemy.

Double Crates can give your winnings a big boost. If a Double Crate lands under an Ally, all winnings from the feature are doubled up to that point. If the crate lands under an Enemy, its cash prize is doubled.

The CEO of Octoplay, Carl Ejlertsson, had this to say about the game: “Dystopia: Rebel Road is a testament to our commitment to delivering innovative and engaging products.”

Dystopia: Rebel Road is a unique slot that feels more like being in a video game than playing a standard slot. If you like the sound of its dystopic theme, you can find many slots with similar themes at the casinos we recommend at Betsquare.
